Career Champions

What is Career Champions?

Hosted by the Internship and Career Center, the Career Champions program equips staff, student leaders, and faculty across UC Davis with the tools to support students' career development.

The ICC's Career Champions program grew out of a recognition that the ICC is just one of the many places students may come for career support. Although the ICC staff is available to assist students with career development and planning, we know that people all across campus are also helping students build toward their careers in meaningful ways.

How can I get involved?

Career Champions was developed with three key audiences in mind: staff, student leaders, and faculty. The program consists of two main components, which we encourage you to complete in sequence:

  • Part 1: Asynchronous online modules. These flexible, self-paced modules provide resources, best practices, and up-to-date information for anyone looking to support career and post-graduation success for UC Davis students.
  • Part 2: Synchronous workshop. Once the modules have been completed, this synchronous workshop provides skill-building opportunities to apply your knowledge about the career planning process with peers and colleagues across campus. Workshops are offered about once per quarter.

A pilot of Career Champions for Faculty is anticipated to launch in 2024. In the meantime, if you are a faculty member interested in supporting this effort, we invite you to fill out this Expressed Interest Form.
