The ICC can coordinate and integrate career and professional development services with your department through:


The ICC offers several 50 minutes lectures on a variety of different career-related topics. Students can drop by any of these sessions throughout the year. See a complete list of workshops. You can also request a workshop. If you are an instructor in the College of Engineering, and have to cancel class, you can request an ICC advisor give a presentation to your students.

Career Champions Training

The Career Champions program combines synchronous training sessions with asynchronous Canvas modules, in order to provide UC Davis staff with resources and skill-building opportunities to support students’ career development.

Company Information Sessions

The ICC coordinates over 100 company information sessions per year. To see a list of upcoming sessions, check our events calendar.

Internship and Career Fairs

Annually the ICC hosts four major internship and career fairs, each of which attract over 2,000 students and 160 employers.

Advising Tools

  • Handshake
    UC Davis staff and faculty can use Handshake for the purpose of advising students. Click here to request a Handshake account.
  • Mandatory advising
    Colleges implementing mandatory advising can refer students to ICC drop-in advising or workshops. To discuss this further, please contact one of our advisors.
  • Advisor Tool Kit for Starting the Career Discussion
    Academic advisors are often the first point of contact for students, and may find themselves faced with career-related questions. The ICC has created a tool kit for advisors to begin the conversation about careers that addresses basic questions that students may pose. This can be used as a first step in conjunction with a referral to the career advisors at the ICC.

    The Career Resource Manual is a comprehensive resource for students from the beginning stages of exploration through the internship and job search process.
  • Meet with an ICC advisor
