Cecilia is a Senior Career Advisor for the BioLaunch Fellows Program. She teaches and advises College of Biological Sciences undergraduates. Cecilia has over fifteen years of teaching experience in K-12 educational classrooms and programs. She has taught as a high school science teacher, STEAM summer program instructor, SAT bootcamp instructor, refugee outreach program tutor, UC San Diego teaching assistant, and classroom instructional aide in special education classrooms. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from USC and her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology from UC San Diego. She is passionate about supporting students on their next steps through career exploration and experiential education. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, exploring new cities, and going on food adventures.
