Experiential Education Summer Grant

Grants for Experiential Learning is a program that provides seamless continuity into the summer. Students will receive a total of $3,600 in equal disbursements at the beginning of summer sessions I and II to do unpaid experiential learning opportunities (internships) over the summer. Students should participate in internships for approximately 20 hours per week for both sessions. You don’t have to have secured an internship yet to apply for the grant. The Internship and Career Center can assist you in securing an internship.

Course:

Students will participate in a virtual one-hour, one-unit weekly course designed to supplement their learning opportunities. The course will focus on lessons learned, challenges encountered, and application for success in the work environment as part of ongoing professional development. The course structure will include discussions, lectures and workshops related to career competency, and guest speakers from different industry sectors. The guest speaker series will provide direct knowledge from industry representatives as well as networking to enhance communication skills.

Participants:

This program is open to all undergraduate students with a demonstrated financial need. It is a partnership between the Internship and Career Center and Intercollegiate Athletics.
Deadline to submit application: Friday, May 5, 2023.
