Descriptions: The ASUCD Pantry is a student-run, student-directed campus food pantry under the Associated Students of UC Davis (ASUCD), serving up to 800 students daily through fresh produce, bread, non-perishable products, and basic necessities. We are located on the first floor of the Memorial Union, open 7 days a week.

INDIVIDUALS:
Volunteers will directly interact with and assist students as they visit, as well as work to maintain the Pantry space. We ask our quarterly-committed volunteers for a 1.5 or 3 hour/week. One-time sign-ups are also available on our website.

SUMMARY:
We have had 47,000+ visits in the 2018-2019 school year, and to operate, we have recruited, trained, and scheduled 120+ volunteers to staff the Pantry and now we are looking for Spring '20 volunteers to help expand our hours of operation.

Descriptions: COALITION OF CONCERNED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS (CCMP) is an all-volunteer effort, rooted in the community, founded in the Bay Area in 1976. CCMP is independent from government funding or any funding with strings attached. CCMP is structured as a free and voluntary unincorporated private membership association not as a 501(c)(3). We are looking for individuals that can work independently, with excellent written and communication skills, and preferably bilingual.

Case Management Intern:
Interns work with Refugees or Survivors of Human Trafficking and gain casework skills as well as advocacy experience. Additionally, interns are exposed to the social welfare system and are taught how to manage client cases. Interns will also be exposed to numerous opportunities to strengthen language skills and further multi-cultural awareness. Applicants must be able to deal with confidential information, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be preferably bilingual.

Communications Intern:
Interns in this position work closely with the Deputy Director to develop and maintain external organization communications. Descriptions: The mission of Suicide Prevention and Crisis Services of Yolo County is to provide crisis prevention and intervention, education and community outreach services to the residents of Yolo County. Play a role in saving the lives of Yolo County residents. Join the dedicated volunteers who answer our phones as the first point of human contact in the steps toward mental health. Volunteers undergo a 36-hour training program in which they develop the skills needed to manage issues of depression, suicide, family relationship conflicts and mental illness. Initially, volunteers serve six hours per week and donate a one-year service commitment upon successful completion of the training program. Please join us. Your voice and your ear are more valuable than you can imagine. Volunteers have been, and continue to be the backbone of this agency. Quality training provides volunteers with the opportunity to participate in the increased well-being, not only of themselves, but of the community they live in.

Volunteer Opportunities
Direct Services: Programs working directly with clients we serve. A criminal background check and graduation from our Peer Counselor Training is required to begin volunteering in direct services. Direct services include; 24 hr. Support Line, Survivor Accompaniment Services, Safehouse Program, and others.

Indirect Services: Opportunities to support WEAVE without directly working with clients. Indirect services include: WEAVE Retail Stores, Special Events, and Tabling/Outreach.

Descriptions: This newly established program is administered by the Yolo County Sheriff's Office. The Yolo County Search and Rescue Team comprised of volunteers that provide assistance to the Yolo County Sheriff's Office in Search and Rescue operations and other support functions. The team is on-call 24 hours a day and is ready for both urban and wilderness searches in Yolo County. Response is based on availability of the members at the time of call out.

The un-paid members may receive training in various tactics and methods of search, rescue, human tracking, land navigation techniques, rope rescue, incident command system, search management, first aid and other support functions. The Yolo County Search and Rescue Team has a Board of Directors and meets regularly. The Yolo County Search and Rescue Team works in conjunction with liaison Deputy assigned by the Yolo County Sheriff.
