Additional Considerations
  • Confirm School Location. Schools may be in Davis, Woodland, Dixon, Natomas, Sacramento, etc. Ensure you have adequate transportation prior to applying.
  • Check Bell Schedules. Google the school name and "bell schedule" to see when classes are in session. Make sure it aligns with your availability.
  • Document Your Internship. For students seeking admission to a teaching credentialing program, it is important to document your teaching internships and hours supervised by a credentialed teacher. Both options below must take place concurrent with the internship:
    • Academic Credit: A student may receive academic units for a teaching assistant internship. Contact an advisor in your academic department for requirements and eligibility.
    • Transcript Notation (TN): In place of units (or in addition), a student may receive Transcript Notation (TN) from the Internship and Career Center. Learn more about Transcript Notation.
